Route information
Recommended start point & parking
The route starts and finishes at Voortrekker Park, close to the village centre. On-street parking is available nearby; final parking guidance will be confirmed once the route has a final on-the-ground check.
Where to eat & get a drink
Beans About Coffee and The Barn are popular pre- or post-run stops in the village centre, with Wunderkammer worth a browse if you've got time to spare. All are an easy walk from Voortrekker Park.

Riebeek-Kasteel has accommodation to suit most trips, including The Royal Hotel, La Montagne, Shades Of Provence, Villa Anna Katarina, Diana's Loft and Obiekwa Country House. Book directly with each establishment — Run The Village isn't affiliated with any of them.
Road crossings & traffic notes
The route uses public roads shared with vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. Specific crossings and caution points will be documented once the route has a final on-the-ground check.
Weather & seasonal guidance
The Swartland has hot, dry summers and mild, wetter winters. Early mornings are recommended in summer; check conditions before winter runs.
Navigation & compatible devices
The GPX is compatible with Garmin, COROS, Suunto and most GPS watches, as well as the Strava and Komoot apps.
Format
One continuous GPS route. Complete it as a single activity for Full Route Finisher status, or split it across multiple outings as an Every Road Explorer.
